Recently the local JD dealership called and informed us that the tractor is in need of a new transmission (been at the dealer for nearly 6 months). Many thanks if you have the time. The first step in removal of parts, is to remove both pins holding the shift rods to the quadrants. Then use an adjustable wrench to hold the flats on the shaft#23 to screw it out.
